Arctech, the world's leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, announced its new deal with POWERCHINA Huadong Engineering Corporation. The company will provide 144 MW FIXED-TILT STRUCTURE for the San Marcelino solar farm, so far the largest solar farm in the Philippines with an installed capacity of 283 MW.

Location is San Marcelino, province of Zambales on the island of Luzon, the San Marcelino solar farm will cover 300 ha (741 acres). Once up and running, it will produce over 421 GWh of electricity per year and thus offset close to 290,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Commercial operations are due to be launched by the first half of 2023.

Arctech’s fixed-tilt structure is famous for its compatibility with modules of large capacity, and easy installation. It provides advanced performance in rigidity and durability and can be applied for extensive use, enabling increased energy yield in the era of big modules.

The wind speed of San Marcelino in the Philippines is strikingly 250Km/h and the terrain is complex, scaling up the design complexity. Arctech team has been well recognized in the APAC market for its excellent tracking and racking solutions and 24/7 white-glove customer service. As of the end of 2021, Arctech has successfully delivered more than 3GW of tracking and racking solutions in the Asia-Pacific market, and according to the 2020 Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables annual PV mounting report, the company has maintained a leading position in the Asia-Pacific region for three consecutive years, with a market share of 35% in 2020, far ahead of other competitors.
