APAC Five Times Solar Tracking and Racking Shipment Champion Arctech Announced the Biggest Ground-mounted Project in Sri Lanka During IGEM

Arctech, the world's leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, participated in the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) from October 12th to 14th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) has established itself as Southeast Asia’s leading trade event for green technologies and eco solutions, over the years, IGEM has attracted an attendance of over 500,000 visitors including delegates, dignitaries and companies from over 70 countries.


Arctech’s APAC regional Director Max Jiang, Bella Zhou, SEA Regional Manager at Arctech and International Marketing Manager Erin Dong participated in the tradeshow, the team met up with well-acclaimed local clients including SPIC, Petronas, Malakoff, ibvogt among others.

Malaysia’s 2025 target to have 31% of total power capacity from renewable energy sources is expected to be supported by strong solar sector growth. Based on SEDA Malaysia, the total potential of solar PV in Malaysia reaches 269GW, deriving from 210GW for ground-mounted, 42GW for rooftop, and 17GW for FPV. 


Arctech has harvested 116 MW project with SkySmart II in 2021 and 74.98 MW project with its racking solution in 2022 in the country, the company has accumulated a 30.57 GW portfolio in the APAC market and has retained the championship title regarding the regional shipment for five times in a row up until 2021.

The company recently announced the official commissioning of Solar Universe SPP in Eastern Sri Lanka, the biggest ground-mounted project in Sri Lanka with the tracker application so far. The 11 MW agri-voltaic project deployed 243 the company's signature single-axis solar tracker SkyLine and will add 20GWH annually to the National Grid while reducing 15000 carbon dioxide emissions.
