Aiming to highlight the transformation of the renewable energy sector while continuing to celebrate exceptional talent and achievements in the MENA solar market. This year, the Middle East Solar Awards is celebrating its tenth edition as one of the industry’s longest-standing, premier awards ceremonies.

Arctech has been a key player in the solar trackers market with a 33% market share in the Middle East region, according to Wood Mackenzie. Apart from supplying 575 MW of SkyLine to the largest bifacial tracker solar park in Oman in 2020, Arctech also reached a 2.1GW trackers supply agreement with China Machinery Engineering Corporation for Al Dhafra PV2 Solar Power Plant Project in Abu Dhabi in 2021.

The Al Dhafra PV2 project has adopted Arctech’s 2P tracker SkysmartII, the first rigid 2P (two-in-portrait) tracker with a multi-point drive system. When completed, the solar power plant will be the largest of its kind in the  Middle East and can supply enough electricity to power 160,000 local families while offsetting emissions by more than 3.6 million tons of CO2/year.

What’s backing the signature project is Arctech’s stable supply chain. Now Arctech has a 6.4GW production capacity in China, 2.8GW production capacity in trial operation, and a capacity of 3GW from the Indian manufacturing base, which is set to enter operation in the first half of 2022. The company has also partnered with global OEMs to enhance its global supply chain diversification.

Arctech has also officially launched the Saudi Arabian subsidiary early this year after successfully developing world-class projects. In 2021, Arctech was taking a leap on expanding its global footprint and manufacturing bases close to its major markets worldwide. With a diversified workforce of over 1,000 employees, the company has established local offices in China, Japan, India, the U.S., Spain, Australia, UAE, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Vietnam, and Argentina.

“We’re so thrilled to win this award and get the recognition from the Middle East Solar Industry Association. In the coming year, we will continue to offer state-of-the-art products and excellent service to clients, striving to contribute to the transition towards a greener and more sustainable world,” remarked Kevin Zhang, Sales Director of MEA Region at Arctech.
