The solar power plant locates in Parau in central Romania. Romania is located in an area with a good solar potential of 210 sunny days per year and with an annual solar energy flux between 1,000 kWh/m2/year and 1,300 kWh/m2/year. From this total amount around 600 to 800 kWh/m2/year is technically feasible. The most important solar regions of Romania are the Black Sea coast, Northern Dobruja and Oltenia with an average of 1,600 kWh/ m2/year. Although the European Commission has suggested Romania set its 2030 renewables target at 34%, Romania has instead set an unambitious target at 30.7% – up less than 7% from the current share of renewables in energy production. In February 2022, Econergy secured more than EUR 200 mln to support the construction of its Eastern European project pipeline, specifically in Romania and Poland.

In 2021, Arctech was selected as the tracker supplier for the 2.1GW Al Dhafra PV2 PV power plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the project has adopted Arctech's flagship product SkySmart II. As the first IEC-certified multi-point drive tracking system. As the first IEC-certified multi-point drive tracking system, SkySmart II has been well-accepted in many other countries such as Kazakhstan, Chile, and the USA, etc.

Adopting the self-developed multi-point parallel drive technology, Arctech SkySmart II provides a 200% increase in wind resistance than other 2P tracking systems and a 52% reduction in foundations than 1P tracking systems. Meanwhile, SkySmart II is equipped with 4X1,500V-strings of solar modules, which not only helps to reduce electrical costs but also makes it possible to be compatible with all commercially available solar modules including the 182/210 large modules. Moreover, with the help of artificial intelligence, tracking control strategy, cloud strategy based on real-time meteorological data, bifacial power generation strategy and closed-loop feedback strategy that shares parameters with DC combiner and string inverter, SkySmart II can adapt to various terrains, weather and land conditions and enable up to 7% of additional energy generation.

Until the end of 2022, SkySmart II has accumulated over a 4GW portfolio in more than 40 countries around the world.
